ABOUT ME

 

 

I have lived on the North Shore of Auckland for most of my life and in the US for a number of years. I have three sons and am step-dad to two more sons and one daughter, so our home is busy with never a dull moment. My partner is a screenwriter and director of Springsouth Actors Agency. We have a Siberian Husky called Ghost and a psychotic cat called Larry. In my spare time I love tramping and swimming in the sea, travelling and experiencing new cultures.

PRACTICE AREAS

 

Clayton has practiced as a commercial litigator for the past 20 years.  He  graduated LLB from Auckland University and Master of Laws from San Diego University.  Clayton has worked successfully in matters involving multi million dollar transactions. He has worked as senior counsel in High Court trials, acting for and opposing some of New Zealand's most sucessful business people and companies.

 

Since 2007 Clayton has also worked as a Judicial Officer/Referee for the Disputes Tribunal. This role has involved conducting more than a thousand settlement discussions in the role of mediator.
